Winter in Brisbane

Filed under: My Poems — mymgoth @ 10:24 pm

A little poem to celebrate the typical Winter day in Brisbane. Enhanced of course by the fact that the day was a Sunday.

Azure skies crystal clear blue
Sun a pulsing jewel in the glorious void

Winter in Brisbane

Late Brunch with velvet smooth coffee
A repast of bacon, eggs and comfortable discourse

Winter in Brisbane

Robbie Williams on the radio
Lethargic Cole Porter in the park

Winter in Brisbane

Early beer in the cool cloisters of the pub
Crowds amble through the warmth of the day

Winter in Brisbane

Afternoon shadows creep forward bearing cold promises
That chase us into cosier abodes

Winter in Brisbane
